2009 Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act
The CARE Research & Development Laboratory (CRDL - http://care.cs.ua.edu) has worked extensively over the past 10 years to change the way that law enforcement in Alabama interacts with technology. CRDL has been instrumental in the development of eCite, eCrash, ULTRA, LETS, MOVE, CARE and numerous other law enforcement applications in widespread use across the state. A number of state and federal agencies have supported these development efforts, and support for the deployment of these applications to local law enforcement continues to be available. With the passage of the 2009 Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act, support for technology deployment to local law enforcement agencies is expected to significantly increase. This site provides information that may be helpful to Alabama local law enforcement agencies in both planning and grant writing to obtain stimulus funding support. It also provides information about our popular eCite software application that is currently available to all Alabama law enforcement agencies.
Because of the rapidly changing information about the economic stimulus program, please check back often. We expect to update this site frequently.
